Meet Laura
Laura English
CO-FOUNDER
Laura is the classic retired emo kid. She hung out behind the bike racks and dressed all edgy, all the while, secretly caring about what everyone thought of her and ensuring she did well in her classes. Sick of her small-town life, she decided to pursue the trope of a tortured artist and left her hometown in Yeppoon to move to the big city, where she studied a Bachelor of Journalism with a minor in Creative Writing. Can you tell?
Laura spent most of university trying to alter her brain chemistry… by reading philosophy, of course. She hates philosophy now, though, so don’t ask her about it.
She had her first internship in public relations before selling her soul to the corporate world, where she became a copywriter and Digital PR specialist at two different digital marketing agencies in Brisbane. To feed her soul, she turned to moonlighting as a Music Journalist with Music Feeds, where she wrote about everything from Tiger King to her infamous New Australian Music Playlist (a coveted place for a new artist to be featured in 2021).
Then the time came for Laura to explore a new digital agency where she would find her new home, in Rebecca. Oh, and the agency they worked at together. Starting as a copywriter, Laura worked her way through the production team and eventually became Head of SEO & Copywriting, overseeing the entirety of the digital marketing specialists.

In her position, Laura has doubled the size of her team, steered them through multiple algorithm updates (a trying time for any Digital Marketing Specialist), co-authored a book and won several awards highlighting the incredible quality of her team’s work.
Laura is a chaotic and creative marketer, where every project she touches breathes personality, heart and wit.
As for Laura as a human, she lives with her three children, Tinks (cat), Toby (cat who wants to be a dog) and Brodie (husband). Laura married Brodie in 2021, one month after meeting Rebecca, and has spent every day since regretting her decision not to extend an invite to the true love of her life.
Laura is a sarcastic, music-loving, green thumb who loves talking marketing. Hence the website.
